Launch weekend and you’re invited!

Newport Caravans feeling the love at the NEC Motorhome and Caravan show.

Wow! What a week we had at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC! It was great to see so many familiar faces and even more new faces on our stand.  As a Main Swift Dealer we took seven of our ten  dealer specials to the show. Our dealer special is the Swift Challenger GTS. The GTS is based on the Swift Challenger Sport series but comes equipped with A LOT of extra features such as solar panel, luxurious furnishings and a host of security features. We knew we were in for a rewarding show when Swift sales were up 27% on the first day of the show compared to the previous year.  

The Swift Challenger range was also awarded Best Caravan in the Caravan Talk awards which reconfirmed that we were backing a top quality and winning product! 

By far our most popular caravan was the Swift Challenger GTS 584 model. We’re thinking of renaming this one the ‘caravan of love’ as this particular model features a stunning extendable fixed island bed not too dissimilar to the one in the 1971 Bond film ‘Diamonds are Forever’ ;-)  Seemingly many couples with existing fixed bed models are tired of “climbing over the mountain” and are looking for either fixed single beds or island bed configurations. The Challenger GTS 584 is the ideal caravan for couples as it offers extreme comfort, plenty of floor space to move around the bed and most of all more room for romance!  

Talking of romance we were very pleased to see John and Marilyn Mason at the show.  Not only do they clearly love each other but they must also love Newport Caravans as they purchased their 20th caravan from Rob!  The picture on the right was taken by Nick Harding of the Caravan Blogger website.
